Voting for Biden is the beginning, not the endgame

Before we start, here’s me, in a nutshell:

I’m a Hamilton, an Ennegram 8, an ENFP but really an ANFP because I’m an ambivert. I’m a Ravenclaw who is ashamed of JK Rowling, but I still appreciate what her work did for a generation. I can hold both things in tension. I’m a thinker, a healer, a tender heart, a deep feeler. I come from generational poverty and was raised by a single, disabled mother in the 1980s, and I spent most of my life in Evangelical Christianity. I was born and bred to be a Trump supporter, but I broke free from the chains they placed on me.

All that to say, please acknowledge my full humanity before you comment. There is one group trying to destroy our democracy in a way that will lead to authoritarianism and will take away whatever semblance of freedom we think we have. A second term will make life a living hell for more people than his first term did. You will see more Heather Mayer’s and Breonna Taylor’s. More of Ahmaud Aubrey’s killers roaming the streets.

I am trying to talk to everyone who doesn’t want that.

We are all so different, but we have a shared humanity. Our hearts ache for what is happening under this presidency. Some of us are moderates, some are progressive, some still mostly conservative, but their values tell them they are not a Trump Republican.

We have to find our common ground, all of us who want to have a chance to bring about the change we desire, whether that change is a…
